All Coppell ISD campuses and the district met AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) on all indicators for the No Child Left Behind Act.
Coppell ISD achieved a "Recognized" state accountability rating for 2009 from the Texas Education Agency. The district specifically improved its commended scores (meaning students mastered the curriculum by scoring 90% or above.)
Coppell ISD is ranked highly in Texas in Gold Performance Acknowledgements (GPAs), receiving 10 in 2009. The district received GPAs in the following 10 areas (See comparison chart in the resource box):

For the seventh year in a row, CISD has received a Superior Achievement rating based on answering "yes" to each of the 24 indicators included in the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) program.

Coppell High School, Coppell Middle School North, Coppell Middle School West, Denton Creek Elem., Lakeside Elem., and Wilson Elem. made the Texas Business and Education Coalition's 2009 Honor Roll. Less than 4% of Texas public schools received this honor. Schools must have a high percentage of students meeting state standards in all subjects for three consecutive years, with an emphasis on commended scores.
