Accolades

CHS met Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) on all indicators of the No Child Left Behind Act.
CHS received a "Recognized" state accountability rating for 2009 from the Texas Education Agency.
CHS received 10 Gold Performance Acknowledgements (GPAs) in 2006.
The following acknowledgements were for high achievement awarded by TEA:

CHS made the Texas Business and Education Coalition's 2006 Honor Roll. Only 42 high schools across the state made the Honor Roll. Schools must have a high percentage of students meeting state standards in all subjects for three consecutive years, with an emphasis on commended scores.
