CISD is proud to provide a menu of high quality academic programs designed to meet our student's diverse summer school needs. It is our goal to offer innovative academic opportunities along with the traditional courses that students expect to find in summer school.

Important Facts

  • The location of elementary Summer School is Wilson Elementary
  • Elementary literacy/math Summer School dates are June 11 through July 3.
  • Elementary ESL/Bilingual Summer School dates are June 11 through July 3.
  • Registration deadlines TBD.
  • Summer School staff development for teachers is June 8.
  • Summer School hours are 7:50 am to 11 am for literacy and math.
  • ESL/Bilingual summer school hours are 7:50 am to 11 am for literacy and math.
  • ESL/Bilingual summer school hours are 7:50 am to 3:05 pm.
  • Students in ESL/Bilingual Summer School will need to bring a snack and a lunch. Lunches maybe purchased at school for $2.50. School lunches consist of a sandwich, pretzels, a type of fruit, and a drink. If your child qualified for lunch at a free rate for the 2011-2012 school year, your child will continue to receive the same benefits during Summer School. The reduced rate is $0.40.

  • Elementary summer school instruction will be targeted this year for intense skill development for regular education students and will be targeted for vocabulary and comprehension development for ESL/Bilingual students.
