Principal's Corner

deana harrell Deana Harrell has been chosen for the leadership role as the Director of New Tech High @ Coppell. Deana earned her Bachelor of Behavioral Science Degree with an Early Childhood Elementary teacher certification from Hardin Simmons University and her principal certification from Texas Women's University. She holds Masters of Education Degrees in both Reading and Gifted Education (grades PreK-8) and Educational Leadership. She is currently a Fellow in the Cooperative Superintendency Doctoral Program at the University of Texas in Austin.

Deana has 14 years of educational expertise having worked in Coppell ISD for 11 years. She has served as a teacher, assistant principal, Principal of Wilson Elementary and as the Associate Principal for Coppell High School.

Mrs. Harrell has been married to her husband Michael for 15 years and they have a one year old daughter, Landry. An avid reader, Deana also enjoys travelling and the theater.
