Beginning October 1, enforcement of violations captured by Stop-Arm cameras (on buses owned by Dallas County Schools) will go into effect. In the City of Coppell, there have been over 100 incidents of Stop-Arm violations recorded by the Dallas County Schools Transportation Department since the start of this school year. The Coppell ISD Board of Trustees recently approved an inter-local agreement between the district, the City of Coppell, and Dallas County Schools for use and enforcement of Stop-Arm cameras. Drivers are reminded not to pass a school bus when its red lights are flashing and stop arms are displayed. The fine for a stop-arm camera violation has been set by Dallas County Schools at $300. All questions about the program including enforcement should be directed to the Dallas County Schools Transportation Department. For more information visit stoparmcamera.com
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FOOTBALL GAME ATTENDEES: If you’re planning to attend home football games at Buddy Echol’s Field, remember that no outside food or drinks are allowed inside the stadium at Coppell High School, and no alcohol is permitted on school grounds (including parking lots). We appreciate your support and adherence to these rules. They will be enforced by CISD administration and the Coppell Police Department.
