CISD is offering opportunities for credit recovery for learners enrolled in high school credit courses during the 2022-2023 school year for which they earned a failing grade. Summer school will be in person and summer school educators will be present to provide support as learners work through the online curriculum. This year Coppell ISD is one session for credit recovery and will be held at CHS 9 Monday - Thursday from June 5th-June 29th. Learners will be required to attend class daily from 8:30 am - 3:15 pm with a lunch break from 11:30 am - 12:15 pm.
Learners must bring their Coppell ISD issued device everyday in order to access the online curriculum (iPad for CHS9 and CHS learners, MacBook for NTH@C learners).
Learners should work with their campus counselors to determine which courses to prioritize when enrolling in summer school (ELAR and Mathematics courses will be prioritized first).
COST: There are fees for summer school that need to be paid through school pay using the link in the summer school information/registration tab.
The fees are as follows:
1 semester (A or B) (For Example: Biology B - second semester) = $175
2 semesters (A & B) (For Example: Biology B and English II A) = $250
Additional courses (semester A or B) may be purchased for $50 with administrator approval after the completion of the first two courses.
No One Should Pay More Than $250 in the Initial Summer School Registration Window.
Learners receiving free/reduced lunch have a different pay scale. Please contact Mary Kemper at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Do NOT use the link below to pay for CISD Summer School if your learner receives free/reduced lunch.
NOTE: We no longer offer physical education, government, economics, precalculus, or a third year of foreign language during summer school for original credit.
