Welcome to 6th Grade Science!
Hello and welcome to sixth grade science! I am so excited to be a part of your middle school experience and I look forward to preparing you and your child for their exciting transition from 5th grade to the wonderful world of 6th grade.
I am going into my 9th year teaching 6th grade science. In my free time, I enjoy camping with my loved ones, cooking, spending time with my 4 fur babies and husband, and singing as a member of the Coppell Community Chorale.
I have very high hopes and expectations for our 6th graders. We will be working on many life skills including responsibility, organization, and learning how to make responsible decisions. In order to prepare your child for tomorrow's world, I believe in promoting and encouraging quality work and intentional effort in everything they do.
Together, we are going to have a wonderful, educational school year. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I also encourage you and your child to regularly view HAC for information about grades as well as the Science Schoology page to stay up to date on assignments and units of study. On there, you will find class information that will be important for you and your child to know. Please utilize Schoology daily.
Thank you and welcome to a great year!

Any 6th grade science student may attend tutorials with any 6th grade science teacher!
Tutorials are a great time for students to ask clarifying questions about instructions or assignments or get extra help understanding topics they're struggling with.
While we are doing remote learning, tutorials will be held on Zoom. The 6th grade science tutorial schedule is shown below.
Monday (After School) 3:35-4:00 with Mrs. Albers
Wednesday (Before School) 7:35-8:00 with Mrs. Erdman
Friday (Before School) 7:35-8:00 with Mrs. Coppick
