2021-2022 9th Grade Course Registration

Below you will find all of the necessary steps and documents for upcoming 9th graders to register for their 2021-2022 courses at New Tech High @ Coppell.  If you have any questions along the way, then please contact Michael Kennington at mkennington@coppellisd.com.

1. Know the important dates and deadlines:
   • 1/25-1/27 High School counselors visiting middle schools
   • 1/25-1/29 Learners will complete their Personal Graduation Plan (PGP)
   • 1/29-Home Access Center (HAC) will open for learners to begin entering courses from their PGP into HAC
   • Once PGP complete AND all courses entered in HAC, then complete Endorsement Verification Form
   • 2/19-Course registration closes in HAC AND Endorsement Verification form is DUE
2. Watch the High School Planning Video from our 8th grade classroom presentations for important information on Graduation Requirements, Endorsements, Creating your Personal Graduation Plan, and entering your information in Home Access Center.
3. Use the Personal Graduation Plan template to create your plan for the courses you want to take 9th-12th grade.
4. Enter all of the information from your PGP into Career Planner in Home Access Center.  If needed, review the High School Planning Video or Presentation for a reminder on that process.
5. Complete your Endorsement and Career Plan Verification Form by February 19th.  You will use this form to indicate your endorsement choice and to verify that you have completed your PGP AND entered all courses into Career Planner in HAC.
6. Await receipt of your Course verification form (Around March 23).  This will need to be completed and returned by April 1.  There will be no changes for the 21-22 school year after April 1.
