District Geography Bee
Coppell ISD will host a District Geography Bee for elementary campuses that choose to compete in the Spring Semester. The competition is open to all 3rd - 5th Grade students within the Coppell ISD boundaries. Each campus can field a team that will compete at the district competition. This competition is separate from the National Geographic GeoBee that is held each year.
2019 District Geography Bee
Date: Wednesday, April 17, 2019

Using a format similar to the Academic Decathlon Super Quiz competition, students will work in teams of 3 to answer questions about places as close as Dallas County to places on each of the seven continents.
There are 6 students from each participating campus that comprise two teams: Team 1 and Team 2. Team 1 consists of 3 students and Team 2 consists of 3 students. During Round 1, Team 1 will answer a series of questions. Teams will switch for Round 2 and Team 2 will answer a series of questions. In case of a tie at the end of Round 2, coaches will have the prerogative to reconfigure a tiebreaker team. Questions will continue until the tie is broken.
