Intervention Services Parent Information

  • April 14, 2020

    Hello CISD families,

As we head into week 4 of Distance Learning, I hope you are healthy and safe. I know school closure has brought changes for your child. With distance learning, parents have an enhanced role and we want to make every effort to have open lines of communication so you continue to receive the support you need. The school doors may be closed, but our team is still here to support you and your child.

Attached you will find a letter outlining the efforts we are making here in Coppell ISD to meet the individual needs of your child. Our educators and service providers have worked together to consider each learner’s plan and how to meet their needs during school closure. If you have any questions about the plan, assignments, resources or a particular goal or service, please reach out to your teacher, special educator, service provider or campus administration. We are all here to support you in any way we can. If you need additional resources beyond special education services (for example, meals, technology support or questions about enrollment) please let us know and we will see what we can do to help. We are also ready, willing and able to convene an ARD meeting if you would like to discuss specific changes or questions regarding your child’s Individual Education Plan. Please contact the Educational Diagnostician or Speech Language Pathologist if needed.

We miss seeing your children each day and want to do whatever we can to provide you the support you need in your home.

Here is a video to give you information on how Special Education services are provided during school closure related to COVID-19.

Remember to visit the Coppell ISD website for important updates related to school closure.

The Texas Education Agency Resources for At-home Learning site has additional links to support your child at home.

    Thank you,

    Stephanie Flores
