Outdoor Adventures II Syllabus

    Topics for Outdoor Adventures II include soil conservation, wilderness survival, archery, fishing, and rock climbing.  The units that are the same as Outdoor Adventures I are more difficult and thus push the students into a higher skill level.   

    Soil conservation looks at methods of conservation as well as the destruction of our soil. Students will study the importance of healthy soils.

    Wilderness Survival will study edible plants, shelter building, and fire starting.  Students will learn to determine the importance of basic survival skills.


    Week of April 29th

    Instructional Focus:Archery

    Activities/Assignments: Students will learn the safe use of the archery equipment, and use and understand the 11 steps of archery shooting.

    Assessments:Subjective and Objective tests are used.
