Return to School Update
Monday, Aug. 17 remains as the district’s first day of school, and CISD will provide distance learning for all students through Sept. 4. CISD continues to actively make preparations to open schools for in-person learning on Sept. 8, for families who would like this choice. CISD also is committed to providing distance learning for those who choose it for the first grading period through Oct. 9. Read more here.
Secondary Schedule Pick Up Aug. 10
Schedule pick up for middle schools and high schools will occur virtually on Monday, Aug. 10. Be on the lookout for emails from your child’s school with details.Elementary Meet the Teacher Night Aug. 13
Virtual Meet the Teacher Night for elementary schools is Thursday, Aug. 13, from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Details, including the name of your child’s teacher, will be shared by your school by noon Aug. 13.
Free and Reduced Lunch Application The application for free or reduced price meals from the CISD Child Nutrition Department is now available for the 2020-2021 school year at go.coppellisd.com/freereducedlunchapplication. CISD Child Nutrition will provide meals at the free and reduced rates to those who qualify, whether you choose in-person or distance learning.
Facebook Live Tonight CISD will host a Facebook Live event tonight, Thursday, Aug. 6, at 6:30 p.m. for our community to ask questions on Return to School. You can view the event at www.facebook.com/coppellisd.
International Percussion Competition
Congratulations to the Coppell High School Band’s Percussion Program, which is among the three high school winners of the 2020 Percussive Arts Society International Ensemble Competition. Read more here.

Census ReminderCensus enumerators are canvassing areas where residents haven't had the opportunity to participate. Social distancing measures will be in place to keep everyone safe.
