2020-2021 Coppell ISD COVID-19 Dashboard
-
The purpose of this data is to provide our Coppell ISD families and staff with a transparent summary of COVID-19-related test-confirmed positive cases resulting in exclusion from school activities. A test-confirmed positive case indicates that the student (both remote and in-person) or staff member has been tested and received a report confirming that they have the virus. These individuals will be isolated and quarantined in accordance with the CDC and Dallas County Health and Human Services Department (DCHHS). Cases will be communicated via email directly to the employees and parents at each campus. Although the district discloses case information to DCHHS, we must maintain confidentiality for the individual who tests positive. This data is for current active cases and is updated only when there is a new active case. Once an active case has completed the isolation period and met the criteria to return to campus, the case will be removed from the COVID-19 Dashboard and active case summary email. Additionally, the district only publishes a summary notification when there is a new active case.

Dear CISD Community,
As part of the Coppell ISD response to COVID-19, we are sharing this update about the newly reported active cases of COVID-19. There were zero cases reported on May 20 or May 21.
CISD had 1 new active case reported from Friday, May 21 at 4 p.m. to Monday, May 24 at 4 p.m.
This new active case is:- 1 in person student at CMS East
The CISD COVID-19 Dashboard at www.coppellisd.com/COVID-19Dashboard has a summary of overall active cases by campus as of 4 p.m. May 24. The total number of active COVID-19 cases in CISD is 3 — 1 in person student and 2 remote students.*
Several cases were removed from the summary and COVID-19 Dashboard since our last update, because these individuals met the criteria for removal.
Each weekday when school is in session, if there are new reported positive active COVID-19 cases, CISD will share an email summary with our community at 6 p.m. An active case indicates that the student (both remote and in person) or staff member has been tested and received a report confirming that they have the virus. These individuals will be isolated off site, as per CISD and Dallas County Health and Human Services (DCHHS) guidelines. Cases are removed from the COVID-19 Dashboard and email summary once these individuals have completed the isolation period and met the criteria to return to campus. These removal dates can vary due to a number of factors, including the individual being in isolation prior to receiving a positive test. The active case notification day is not necessarily the first day of isolation for an individual. Although the district discloses case information to DCHHS and the Texas Education Agency (TEA), we must maintain confidentiality for the individuals who test positive.
The CISD COVID-19 Dashboard at www.coppellisd.com/COVID-19Dashboard is updated only when the district has an active COVID-19 case to report.
