Dear CISD Families, As we end this first week of school, let me take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to our team for working tirelessly to ensure a great start to our school year. A big thank you to our students and their families too for working with us to ensure such a smooth start.
I want to share my extreme gratitude to our educators for their innovative efforts in establishing authentic relationships with their students from a distance. I thank our students for their grit and tenacity, as they engaged in learning in new and different ways. Our kids worked hard with this week as they transition back to a new school year. I especially want to thank our parents and guardians for your hard work with your children this week, and your grace and understanding for some of the hiccups we encountered. I do understand the challenges that come with helping our children learn from home, while balancing our own work and family needs. I truly appreciate you working with us, because we are stronger, together.
In addition to continuing to provide remote learning for all students for the next two weeks, CISD remains committed to providing an in person instruction option to those families who chose it. We are still planning to offer this in person instruction option beginning Tuesday, September 8. We believe the low number of cases in our community, combined with the percentage of students who have committed to in person learning and the numerous safety measures put in place on our campuses allows us to move forward with our Return to School Guide as outlined at www.coppellisd.com/returntoschool.
I want to end by sharing this slideshow video that captures some precious moments shared with us this week.
I hope you enjoy this weekend with your family,
