    Dear CISD Families,

This week marked an important day, as we welcomed some of our students back to campus for in person instruction. This return did not happen without a significant amount of work from our employees. I want to begin by thanking our amazing teachers for juggling so many different tasks and responsibilities, as they are managing two different platforms of instruction. I also want to thank our dedicated staff for their work behind the scenes to prepare our campuses for in person instruction. They have worked round the clock to get things prepared for our students and teachers. Finally, I thank our incredible students who returned on Tuesday. I thank them for wearing their masks, practicing social distancing, and adapting and thriving in our school environment.

I also want to express my appreciation to our distance learners and families for working so hard while learning at home. Whatever the platform, it's not easy, and I thank you all for your understanding and patience as we work through these challenges together. I continue to encourage you to reach out to our teachers and campus administrators to address your issues and concerns. Our teachers are working incredibly hard during these unprecedented times, and seeing complaints about them and their colleagues on social media can deflate these efforts. It also is not helpful or productive for a resolution. We are committed to working with our families on solving challenges and problems, together. I implore you to give our dedicated educators and administrators a chance before posting complaints online. You also can email input@coppellisd.com for assistance.

I am immensely grateful to lead Coppell ISD and am so proud of the work we are all doing to educate our children.

    Thank you,

    Dr. Brad Hunt
