Oct. 9 Returning to School In Person Reminders
We want to share some reminders with our families whose children are returning to or coming to school in person for the first time on Tuesday, Oct. 13, which is the first day of the second grading period. The Coppell ISD Return to School Guidelines are available at www.coppellisd.com/returntoschool. Our educators and staff will be on hand to direct students to their classrooms, should they need assistance on Tuesday.
CISD has created a checklist for our in person students available at go.coppellisd.com/InPersonChecklist. We ask that parents and guardians of in person learners to screen their children daily using the checklist at go.coppellisd.com/StudentScreenChecklist. If your child is sick, please do not send them to school. If your child has symptoms of COVID-19, please reach out directly to your school nurse.
As a reminder, all in person students are required to wear masks throughout the day, including during recess and outdoor physical education classes. We encourage your child to bring an extra mask or two in case they want to switch it out during the day. Your child also should bring their district issued device — their iPad or Macbook for New Tech High @ Coppell — fully charged with them each day. They should also bring headphones with them.
Parents and guardians are not allowed to enter CISD campuses. If your child forgets something at home, there will not be an opportunity to drop it off for them at school, so please ensure they have what they need with them for the day. If they forget their lunch, they will be able to get one from their school cafeteria. Should you need to pick up your child from school, please call your school directly and do not enter the school.
Our students have done an excellent job adhering to our mask policy and practicing social distancing, when possible, during the first grading period. We look forward to welcoming your children in person on Tuesday.
