Prior to the Regular Board Meeting, the CISD Board of Trustees held a Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget and Tax Rate for 2021-2022.

• Trustees approved the 2021-22 Resolution to Adopt the Budget for the General Fund, Food Services and Debt Services; 
• The Board approved a  Resolution Adopting the 2021-2022 Tax Rate; 
• Trustees approved the  Award of 031-10 Portable Air Purifiers for classrooms in the district;  
• The Board approved One Time Lump Sum Retention Incentive Payment Using ESSER Funds; 
• Trustees approved the interlocal agreement with the City of Coppell for School Resource Officers; 
• The Board approved the Award of Catalog and Catering Vendors; and
• Trustees approved the Financial Report for July 2021 and the 2020-2021 Final Budget Amendments.

Return to School Update
Superintendent Dr. Brad Hunt and Executive Director of Communications and Community Engagement Angela Brown shared an update on the return to school, including information on COVID-19 Protocols and a comparison of the procedures from last year to this year.

Chief Financial Officer Diana Sircar shared an update on the district’s ESSER funding.
