    Mrs. Berumen is the Head Librarian for Coppell ISD. She is an active member of the Texas Library Association, Texas Computer Education Association, and the Texas Association of School Library Administrators. Mrs. Berumen has previously served the Texas Library Association as a member of the Children’s Round Table Selection Committee, Program Committee, Siddie Joe Johnson Award Committee and co-chair of the Texas Bluebonnet Award Luncheon. Most recently, she served on the Texas State Library Standards steering committee which helped develop the newly adopted standards for school libraries in Texas and is currently serving on the Texas Library Association's Nominating Committee for the Texas Association of School Librarians. In addition to her role as Head Librarian in Coppell ISD, Mrs. Berumen will also be supporting the digital library program for New Tech High @ Coppell.

    Mrs. Hevron loves everything about the library! And that is a very good thing since she has been a librarian in CISD for 26 years – opening Town Center Elementary and Coppell Middle School North and now working at Coppell High School. Her greatest library joys include finding that perfect book for her readers, working with student researchers on locating the best information possible, and building teaching relationships with educators within the school. When not at school, she loves spending time with her family -- and reading, of course!

    Mrs. Arritola is beginning her 21st year in education and 17th year as a high school librarian. She is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s degree in Library Science from Texas Woman’s University. She has worked all across the state of Texas. She is an advocate for literacy and tinkering and is blessed everyday to be in the job of her calling. She believes in a text rich, student centered, transformative space for the students at CHS9 which fosters an environment of learning and wonder. Chin and her husband have two children, Chloe and Penelope. Chin enjoys time with family, friends, and all ways of making beautiful gifts for others.

    Mrs. Baker graduated with her Bachelor's in English in 2012 and her Master's in Library Science in 2018, both from the University of North Texas. She spent her first seven years in education teaching high school English and GT Humanities. Mrs. Baker moved from Frisco ISD to Coppell ISD in 2017, taught at CHS and opened CHS9 as a teacher, then joined North's team as librarian in 2019. She presents at campus, district, and state levels, wrote curriculum in both the districts she's served, and was selected as a CISD SuperTeacher in 2019. Outside of school, Mrs. Baker enjoys riding her horse, hiking with her husband and dog, doing yoga, and, of course, reading.

    Mrs. McConnell is celebrating her 10th year as the Austin librarian. Before that she was a librarian at an elementary school in Irving for 9 years and a 4th & 5th grade teacher for 8 years. Mrs. McConnell is married to Lee, and they have two daughters, Liberty and Trinity, who also attend school in Coppell. Mrs. McConnell loves living in Coppell and seeing all of our Austin Mustangs around town. The library is the best place to be because there are all kinds of books and people there!

    Mrs. Ay is a recent Master's in Library Science graduate from the University of North Texas and first year librarian who is excited to promote library and information literacy at Canyon Ranch Elementary. She has worked for 5 years as an ESL teacher in Istanbul, Turkey and Seoul, South Korea where she was able to connect with people from various cultures and experience a life outside of the U.S.. Additionally, Mrs. Ay taught 4th grade S.T.E.M. in Dallas ISD and can't wait to continue connecting library learning with all subjects.

    Ms. Bryant has been with Coppell ISD since 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and a Master of Library Science from North Texas University. She has been an Elementary School Library for 32 years. Not many people know what they want to do with their life at three years old, but she did. She loves her job, her school, and Coppell ISD.

    Mrs. Mosty is married with 2 beautiful daughters! She earned her Masters in Library Science at Texas Woman's University. This will be Mrs. Mosty's 10th year in education, 5th year as a Librarian. Prior to becoming a Librarian Mrs. Mosty taught 3rd and 4th grade, as well as serving as Media Specialist in Irving ISD. Mrs. Mosty enjoys reading children's literature, being crafty, decorating her house and spending time with her family!

    Mrs. Mancuso is in her first year as a Librarian for CISD. She previously taught 7th grade Language Arts in Katy ISD and 6th grade Reading in Houston ISD. Mrs. Mancuso hold a Masters of Library Science from University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin. She loves to read and spent time with her family.     Ms. Parker is the school librarian at Wilson Elementary in Coppell ISD. She has been a librarian for the past 11 years and was a classroom teacher for 7 years prior to becoming a librarian. Ms. Parker is passionate about igniting student creativity through makerspaces, facilitating opportunities for students to connect globally, and supporting lifelong learning.

    Trisha is in her 1st year as a Librarian for Coppell ISD. She graduated from Baylor University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Trisha taught Kindergarten and 1st grade while earning a Master of Science in Learning Technology and Information Systems from Texas A&M-Commerce in 2000. In 2013, Trisha earned a School Librarian certification from Texas Woman's University. Trisha is excited to be part of the library team!

    Mrs. Mahalik began her career in education in 1997 and joined the CISD family in 2007. She previously served as a Science educator at West, becoming the librarian in 2015. Mrs Mahalik holds a Masters of Library Science from Sam Houston State University. She is the recipient of the 2018 Dr Bonnie Thorne Outstanding Service Award from SHSU Department of Education. Currently, she is serving on the North Texas Teen Book Festival Steering Committee and is Co-Chair of the Texas Library Association Shirley Igo Award committee.

    Mrs. Alaniz has been with CISD since 1998, having taught 3rd and 4th grade at Denton Creek Elementary. After being named Denton Creek's Teacher of the Year in 2008, Mrs. Alaniz was honored to be selected as CISD's District Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2009. Mrs. Alaniz holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas-Austin, a Master's of Education degree from Lamar University, and Master's in Library Science degree from Texas Woman's University. Mrs. Alaniz has been the librarian at Cottonwood Creek since 2013. She is an active member of the American Library Association, the Texas Library Association, the National Council of Teachers of English, the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), the Association for Library Service to Children, and the Children's Literature Assembly. Mrs. Alaniz currently serves as Chair of the 2019 Children's Literature Assembly Notables Committee (NCTE) and is also a member of AASL's 2017-2019 School Library Month Committee. Mrs. Alaniz is an avid reader, book blogger, and children's literature enthusiast. She presents at state and national conferences and is never found without a book.

    Ms. Wade is proud to be the librarian at Lee Elementary this year. Ms. Wade obtained her Bachelors from Texas A&M University and is a proud Aggie alumni (whoop!)! She recently obtained her Master's degree in Library Science through Texas Woman's University. Ms. Wade spent the past 4 years working as a 5th/6th grade classroom teacher, and becoming a school librarian has always been her ultimate dream. She is truly passionate about serving learners and educators through library services, and grateful to begin her librarian career in Coppell ISD!

    Mrs. Hunt is the librarian at Pinkerton Elementary. She received her Master in Library Science from TWU. Mrs. Hunt is in her 5th year as a librarian in CISD. Prior to becoming a Librarian, Mrs. Hunt taught 3rd and 1st grade for 9 years in Irving ISD. She loves reading and learning new information! Her favorite genre is Historical Fiction and favorite series is Harry Potter!
