What Is Considered a Meal?
BREAKFAST: Elementary students must choose at least 3 different items, one being a fruit or juice, to receive breakfast meal pricing. Middle and High School breakfast is sold a la carte unless the student qualifies for free or reduced meals.LUNCH: We offer all 5 food groups, or "components," at lunch--Fruits, Vegetables, Grains, Protein and Milk. Elementary students must choose at least 3 components, one being a fruit or vegetable, to receive the meal price and may choose up to 5 components for the same price. If a student does not take a full meal or takes two portions of the same item, they will be charged a la carte prices. Nutritional analysis is conducted by our registered dietitian on all reimbursable menus to ensure that the Federal nutrition guidelines are met. A copy of this nutritional information is kept at the Child Nutrition office and is available upon request. For more information, please click here.

A la Carte Programs
All schools offer some items for sale in addition to the regular meal programs. Second helpings of entree items and desserts, including ice cream and other Smart Snack items, are sold in the elementary schools.Middle and High Schools offer a wider selection of a la carte items and serving lines and may vary on a daily basis. A la carte items are priced individually. Please make sure that your student knows what a la carte items they are permitted to buy and how often they can purchase them. If you do not want your child to purchase a la carte items, purchase breakfast, or make charges, you must complete the "Meal Account Restriction Form" in the top, right-hand corner, or notify your child's cafeteria manager for an alert to be posted on their account.
