Ms. Alcorn started her school nursing career with CISD in 2000 and began coordinating the Health Services Department in 2012. Previously, Ms. Alcorn worked in the post-cardiac surgery, trauma, and general intensive care units in the hospital setting. Joyce holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University and a Master of Education in School Nurse Education from Cambridge College, Boston. Ms. Alcorn grew up in Ames, Iowa, and has lived in Coppell since 1993. She and her husband, Mark, have a son, Colin (NTH@Coppell '11), and a daughter, Erin (CHS '08). Joyce loves traveling, music, yoga, reading, and especially her family. -

Ms. Lander started her school nursing career with CISD in 2015 at Lakeside Elementary and transitioned to her position as the district's flex nurse in 2021. Previously, Ms. Lander worked in labor and delivery, postpartum, well baby nursery, maternal fetal medicine and was an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Becki earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman's University in 2004 and obtained National Certification in School Nursing in 2022. Ms. Lander lives in Coppell with her four children. -

Ms. Dorn has enjoyed working with Coppell ISD students since 2006. She is a native of South Carolina and has lived in Texas for over 20 years. Before working for the District, Ms. Dorn worked in the medical-surgical, orthopedic, and geriatric specialties. Her degree comes from Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina. Beth has two daughters and a son, all graduates of CHS. Ms. Dorn enjoys tennis, biking, and learning to play golf. -

Cristy is a Texas native, born and raised in Houston. She graduated from The University of Texas in Austin in 1998 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation, she moved to the DFW area where she began her nursing career. Cristy joins us after a 19-year tenure at UTSW, where she worked as an ICU nurse and eventually in Care Coordination. Cristy has the heart of a servant and has volunteered much of her free time serving as room mom, Yearbook Editor, Volunteer Coordinator and PTO President at Lakeside Elementary, where her two daughters attend school. She loves traveling, hiking, gardening, photography, and most of all her family. Stop by and say hello; she's eager to meet you.

Ms. Wiethoff joined CISD full time in 2020. She graduated from Texas Woman's University with a bachelor of science in nursing in 2003. The majority of her nursing career was spent in oncology research until 2015, when she joined CISD as a substitute clinic nurse. Ms. Wiethoff is currently working on her masters in health information management at Texas State University. She and her husband, Brent, have three children - Alec, Cooper, and Sadie - all of whom have grown up in Coppell ISD. She likes to spend her free time relaxing and being with her people. -

Ms. Beasley has been the school nurse at CMS East since 2008. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Women's University in Denton and before joining the East staff, she worked in Maternal/Child Health at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and as a childbirth educator at Baylor Medical Center in Grapevine. Ms. Beasley has two Coppell grads, Nelson (2010) and Jack (2018). A native of Texas, Ms. Beasley loves traveling, cooking, exercising with her four-legged friend "Miller," church activities, and spending time with family and friends. -

Ms. Tierney grew up in Ohio and moved to Texas in 1999. Before joining the Coppell ISD staff, Ms. Tierney's experience included working with bone marrow transplant patients in the hematology and oncology units. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Mary's College at Notre Dame, Indiana. She is married to her husband of 19 years and has two children, Michael and Megan. -

Ms. Hyslop joined CISD in 2008 after several nursing experiences in women's services, including parent and childbirth education and her time as a discharge nurse and OB/GYN office nurse. Ms. Hyslop loves the Austin kids and feels school nursing is the perfect situation for her to use her teaching and nursing skills together. Originally from Indiana, she moved to Plano during high school. Ms. Hyslop is a graduate of Brookhaven College. She and her husband, Tommy, have three children, Emily, Riley, and Luke. Ms. Hyslop enjoys attending her children's activities, traveling, and reading. -

Ashley Uphaus is a Texas Native from Keller, where she grew up with her two sisters and family. From there, she embarked on her nurse journey and graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, with a Nursing degree. Since then, Ms. Uphaus has worked at Children’s Hospital in Dallas in the ICU, home health nursing, and school nursing in another Texas ISD. She has been so excited to bring her love for children, family, and education here at the new Canyon Ranch Campus and looks forward to an amazing year. Ashley loves her role as a school nurse and couldn’t imagine herself anywhere else. Every day she makes it a goal to make a child smile and to ensure the nurse’s office is a safe place at all times. She operates her clinic with a huge heart and compassion for family-centered care and welcomes anyone who has questions or concerns. Ashley now resides in Grapevine with her growing family and in her spare time, enjoys gardening, yoga, reading, cooking, and spending time on the lake with her family. -

Ms. Brenneman began her career as a psychotherapist/counselor at the Vernon State Hospital, where she worked on an outpatient traveling treatment team. She obtained her teaching certifications in biology and psychology and taught high school biology and psychology for 22 years. More recently, Ms. Brenneman returned to school and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She joins CISD with experience in medical-surgical and school nursing. -

Ms. McClellan is a native Texan who grew up in Austin before moving to Fort Worth to attend nursing school at Texas Christian University. After graduating TCU with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, she began her nursing career in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth and most recently worked in the Surgical Department there. Meghan and her husband Johnathon lived in the Marshall Islands for several years, but currently call Grapevine home with their two daughters Hadley and Tyler, as well as their two dogs Sadie and Gus. In her free time, Meghan enjoys reading, a healthy dose of reality television, and all things football!!! She is looking forward to her first year in Coppell ISD and getting to know all the wonderful students and their families! -

Mrs. Crenshaw graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked at Baylor Scott and White-Irving in the Progressive Care Unit before coming to Coppell ISD. Before her nursing career began, she was a special education teacher for five years, teaching in Oklahoma City, OK and The Colony, Texas. Kristen is a Texas native and lives in the area with her husband, Blake, and their three children, Jordan, Julie, and Joanna. In her free time, Kristen enjoys shopping and anything to do with the outdoors—walking, running, swimming, and playing with her kids. She is excited to be back in the school setting and to start her career as a school nurse! -

After spending twenty years as a Labor and Delivery nurse, Ms. Valenski became the school nurse for Valley Ranch Elementary. When asked what she enjoys about school nursing, Ms. Valenski says she loves to make children smile and the ability to help them feel better. Kathleen and her husband of twenty-five years have two children. Their daughter attends Oklahoma State University, and their son is a senior at Coppell High School. Other members of her family include her two golden retrievers and a pug. Ms. Valenski was born and raised in California. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing from Southern Oregon State University. Apart from family and school nursing, she enjoys reading, growing flowers, and learning to knit.

Cheryl Faulkner is a Texas native and joined Coppell ISD in 2011. Previously Ms. Faulkner worked in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at the UT Southwestern Medical Center and in Urgent Care with Cook Children's Medical Center. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Harris College of Nursing at Texas Christian University and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Concordia University. Ms. Faulkner enjoys promoting health and wellness to Coppell ISD students and sharing with them how the body works. In her free time, Ms. Faulkner loves spending time with her family and crafting. She and her husband have two daughters.
