    All of the sites below provide images that are free for school projects.  Be sure to check the permissions for any limits on use.
    Public Domain Images:
     Pixabay  Pixabay- High-quality public domain photos. 
     Morguefile  Morguefile- Database of image files for use in creative works
     Flickr Commons Flickr Commons- Images on Flickr in the public domain. No copyright restrictions.
     picdrome  Picdrome- Public domain digital repository.
     PDpics  Public Domain Pictures- HD image repository in multiple categories.
       NASA Image Gallery- Images from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration
     NOAA NOAA Photo Library- Images from the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration. You are asked to credit NOAA if you use their images. 

     Creative Commons Images: 

    photos for class    Photos for Class- Download Creative Commons images with the attribution already attached. Easy!
     Flickr CC  CC  Flickr CC- Creative Commons images on Flickr
     Wikimedia Wikimedia Commons- A database of freely usable media (images, sound and video clips) to which anyone can contribute. Make sure to provide attribution to the creator of the media when you download (link provided). 
     Foter Foter- CC-licensed images. Includes attribution and embed code to easily allow you to include in online projects and blogs.


    Public Domain Audio:   

    Musopen   MusOpen- Freely available music; mostly classical and instrumental. Also includes sheet music. 
     Digital History Digital History- A collection of historical American music for learner/educator use.

    Creative Commons Audio:  

     ccMixter  ccMixter - Create, share, and download music mixes through this site. All music is licensed under Creative Commons. 
     Freesound  FreeSound - Music uploaded with Creative Commons licenses. Be sure to check the license of the song you choose for attribution information. 
     You Tube Audio Library audio library
     Youtube Audio Library - Free to download and use but you must provide attribution to the artist. The attribution link is provided.


    Public Domain Video: 

     Prelinger Vid Prelinger Archive - This archive, part of the Internet Archive, features 100's of movies and videos in the public domain. Free to use and share.  
     vimeo  PD   Vimeo Public Domain- Every video in this section of Vimeo is in the public domain and free to use. 

    Creative Commons Video

     IA Stock Vid  Internet Archive Stock Footage - Video clips from the internet archive that are designed to be used in other videos. Videos are submitted with different Creative Commons licenses. Be sure to check the license type before using.
     Moving Image  Moving Image Archive- Portion of the Internet Archive featuring movies, videos, and news uploaded by Creative Commons and Public Domain content ranging from classic full-length films, to daily alternative news broadcasts, to cartoons and concerts. 
     Vimeo  Vimeo Creative Commons - Section of Vimeo featuring only Creative Commons-licenced video. Check license for what you can do with the footage and how to provide attribution.

    Put a CC license on your creative work and make those who find it online aware of how they are allowed to use it. You worked hard. You deserve credit! Not to mention recognition...
