Welcome to the Denton Creek Library
So glad you have chosen to view my site. I am Kim Drawbaugh. I knew I wanted to be a librarian from the time I graduated high school. I earned my Masters Degree in Library Science in 1975 from North Texas State University, better known today as the University of North Texas.I have worked in an elementary school library since 1985. The first 5 years of my career were outside of Austin in a town called Rockdale. I became part of the Coppell ISD team in 1990 where I worked for 18 years as the librarian for original Lee Elementary. This Lee was where New Tech is today. When Lee shut its doors in 2008, I was privileged to become the librarian at Denton Creek. I am extremely blessed to be part of the Denton Creek team. Coppell ISD: a great place to be!
The Denton Creek Library exists as an extension of the classroom by giving learners access to information using current research tools. A variety of materials are available to promote reading for both purpose and pleasure. Our library is the place to find both great hardcover books as well as ebooks. Many research tools are available through the library symbaloo or www.mackinvia.com .Our library is a place where students may explore ideas more fully, expand their imagination and pursue areas of personal interest. Enter our doors to find chapter books, picture books, nonfiction books, biographies, graphic novels, ebooks, databases and much more! You can also visit us via your computer to search for books, explore databases and read ebooks.
