New Student Enrollment (10th-12th Grades)

Follow the instructions below only if the student is new to Coppell ISD or previously withdrew from CISD and has been gone for more than a year.

- For 10th – 12th grade enrollment, students must live within the Coppell ISD Boundaries to enroll. Click here for attendance boundaries.
- Enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year for CHS is open. Please use the New Student Enrollment Application link on the right side of this page and choose the 2022-2023 (Current Year) option in the form. You will need to upload all the required documents in the Application form. See below for documentation needed for enrollment.
- Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year will not start until July 5th. Please return to this webpage on or after July 5th and use the New Student Enrollment Application link.
- The enrollment process is the same for all new students. This includes students enrolling from out of state or country, private/public/charter schools, home schools, and students of district employees.
- Please note that filling out the New Student Enrollment Application is only the first step in the enrollment process. You will be receiving additional information and forms to fill out once your student’s application has been reviewed and approved by the campus registrar. Applications will be processed in the order in which they were received.

NOTE: If you have students to be enrolled at another campus in Coppell ISD, you must go to that campus’ website and submit a New Student Enrollment Request form.

CISD Enrollment Requirements

- Proof of Residency in Coppell Independent School District
- Buyers SIGNED Closing Disclosure (CD), Warranty Deed, or Current SIGNED Rental Agreement with ALL occupants listed on the lease.
- One current utility bill (electric, water or gas)
- Bill must contain the resident name and address
- Student's social security card (if applicable)
- Student's State Certified Birth Certificate or Passport
- Photo identification of parent/legal guardian (driver's license/passport)
- A custodial parent will need to provide a copy of the divorce decree
- Legal guardian must provide court documentation
- Immunization Records (Texas state law will not allow any student to start without this)
- You will be rescheduled if your child does not have current immunizations

- Withdrawal papers or transfer certificates from previously attended school (if applicable)
- Most recent report card from the previous school (if applicable)
- Secondary students must provide current transcript (unofficial)
- If previous school was within the U.S., the campus will request Official Transcript from the previous school at a later date.
- If previous school was outside the U.S., please bring a signed OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT in a sealed envelope by the previous school.
- If previous school was within the U.S., the campus will request Official Transcript from the previous school at a later date.
- Secondary students must provide current transcript (unofficial)
- A current email address for online enrollment purposes
- Proof of Residency in Coppell Independent School District

- If a parent authorizes a relative or caregiver to assume educational responsibility please complete the Authorization Agreement for Voluntary Adult Caregiver form (NOTE: this form must be notarized)
- If the guardian(s) and child(ren) are living with a CISD resident who is leasing a property, the guardian(s) name MUST be listed as an occupant on the lease. Under extenuating circumstances where this is not possible, the parent must complete the Notarized Affidavit of Residence, this must be approved by Student and Staff Services (NOTE: affidavits must be notarized).
- If the guardian(s) and child(ren) are living with a CISD resident who is a home owner, please complete the Notarized Affidavit of Residence (NOTE: affidavits must be notarized).
- If a child is attending a CISD school because they receive after school child care from a grandparent, please complete the Nonresident Notarized Grandparent After-School Care Affidavit (NOTE: affidavit must be notarized)
- If you are currently a non-resident of CISD, but have entered into an agreement with an apartment or home builder as a future resident (occupancy within 8 weeks from enrollment), please complete this Future CISD Residents form. Please refer to our District Policy (FDA (Local).
The campus registrar will let you know how to provide these forms electronically (preferred) or in hardcopy.
