It is an absolute pleasure to serve as your Wilson Elementary Principal and to welcome you back for the 2020-2021 school year. This year proves to be unlike any other. We successfully navigated the challenges of last Spring's "Distance Learning," and now we prepare for the unique hills and valleys ahead of us this year. However school looks (virtual, face-to-face, blended), I have the utmost confidence in our educators and our families. We will continue to support, grow, and nurture our Wilson Ranger learners... even if from a distance.
This is my 7th year as an elementary principal, my 11th year in Coppell ISD (#CISDOurStory), and my 16th as a proud Texas public school educator. Wilson has a strong tradition of academic excellence and pride in our community. I look forward to continuing that tradition and learning alongside our phenomenal staff of educators.
As the Wilson Principal, I am committed to strengthening our existing campus initiatives (Dual Language Immersion and Great Expectations Model School) while also exploring new ways (such as Robotics and Gardening) to engage learners and prepare them for a successful future. Our Wilson educators believe in teaching the whole child. We will support your learner academically, socially, and emotionally.
If you are new to our Wilson school family, let me be the first to welcome you! We know that you will bring unique strengths, talents, and interests. Our school’s diversity sets us apart, and we know that you and your family will add to the richness of our diverse cultures, languages, beliefs, and traditions. We know this can be a difficult time to start a new school, but we are committed to welcoming you into our Wilson community.
I invite you to engage with us via social media, and stay “in the know” with upcoming events! There are countless opportunities to be involved in your child’s education (yes, even virtually!). “Like” us on Facebook, “Follow” us on Twitter with @GoWilsonRangers, or search for #WilsonWay for the latest.
