Scott Mason, Coppell High School Head Band Director, is one of only 270 directors to be inducted into the prestigious Texas Bandmasters Hall of Fame. Sponsored by Phi Beta Mu (Alpha Chapter), the International School Bandmaster Fraternity works diligently to provide various awards and services to fellow music educators, and this honor is one of the most prestigious. Mr. Mason received the award over the Winter Break in front of a packed house of current and former students, parents, and co-workers. Mr. Mason was again recognized for this accomplishment during the Regular CISD School Board Meeting on January 11. Scott, who joined the Coppell ISD 24 years ago, has touched hundreds of lives throughout his tenure and has grown the band program to be a leader in Texas.
