Counselor
I am so happy to serve as the counselor at Wilson again this year! After graduating from Baylor University, I taught gifted and talented learners in Argyle ISD for two years. I then taught second grade at Lakeside Elementary in Coppell for eight years. After earning my counseling degree from Dallas Theological Seminary I served as a counselor in Irving ISD for thirteen years. During that time I became a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. I also counseled children and teenagers at Kim Humphries & Associates for five of those years. I then completed the Doctor of Ministry degree at Dallas Theological Seminary in 2012.
As a counselor at Wilson, I teach classroom guidance lessons to all learners every two to three weeks. Lessons focus on life principles as well as conflict resolution strategies and personal safety. I also provide group and individual counseling for learners and consultation for parents and educators.
My door is always open to learners, educators, and parents. I am willing to help however I can to provide for learners' physical, emotional, academic, and social needs. Please let me know if I can help you or your child in any way!
