Ms. Renee Parish
My name is Renee Parish. I have been a Texas resident since 2000. While in Texas, I have taught for 14 years and coached for 11. Prior to Texas I taught and coached in Hawaii. I have two children. My daughter lives and works in Washington D.C. for a non-profit organization called the IRC, helping with refugee resettlement. My son works here in the Metroplex. They are both graduates of Colleyville Heritage High School.
In Texas history, we will be exploring how the unique history of Texas and its people has been impacted by world powers and how Texas has impacted and is a reflection of parts the American experience. I look forward to encouraging another amazing year of growth for our learners as we experience how history influences our everyday lives.
Athletics, to me, is an amazing avenue not only for physical growth and expression, but also a phenomal process that teaches the life skills of teamwork, leadership, and self-management. This year I will be working with the 8th grade volleyball team, the 7th grade basketball team, and track.
I love being a part of the Coppell community and the West family. During this unprecedented school year, I hope that our families and learners also feel the attributes of community and family during our learning experiences. If there is any way that I can be of help to your family or learner, please do not hesitate to contact me.
