Camp Invention

  • Sponsored by National Inventors Hall of Fame

    Dates: June 11-15
    Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
    Location: Pinkerton Elementary
    Who: learners entering 1st - 6th grades in 2018-19

    Camp Description: Camp Invention is a nonprofit program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame.  This year, campers will bring their “smart” home to life with smart furniture and eco-smart energy, design a robotic dog and diagnose puppy problems, explore sensors by designing tracks for an Optibot, a robot that senses dark and light surfaces, and build Cake Catapults! Local educators lead the week of fun, hands-on, STEM activities that allow children to think big, explore their curiosity, and never give up.
    Note: No early drop off, or after camp care available; campers bring sanck, water bottle, and bagged lunch everyday; no food drop off, or microwave available

Coppell Summer Camps @ CTA

    Price: $225 per week (Early Bird $175 until May 1st)

    Camp Description: For past 8 years we have been teaching children focus, discipline, listening skills and self-defense in a fun and positive way with amazing results. And our summer camps continue this tradition. Your child is going to love our summer program!

  • Summer Experience in Antibiotic Discovery and Development

    Dates: June 11-July 18 (Mondays and Wednesday)
    Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    Location: 6010 Whispering Ceaders Dr., Dallas, TX 75236
    Who: High School Students (Girls Only)
    Focus: Molecular Biology and Microbiology

    Price: $750 tuition

    Dates: July 10-August 9 (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
    Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    Location: 700 Planetarium Pl., Arlington, TX 76019
    Who: High School Students (Co-ed)
    Focus: Chemistry and Biochemistry
    Price: $750 tuition

    Camp Description: The Summer experience in Antibiotic Discovery and Development (SEADD) is an engaging, college-level program designed to provide high school students with the knowledge and skills needed to make an informed decision about a career in the natural sciences.

Floot Fire Camp

  • Dates: July 16-20
    Time: Mon-Thu 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Fri 9:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
    Location: Coppell High School
    Who: For middle school and high school flutiest
    Cost: $350

    Camp Description:
    Floot Fire summer workshops are a life changing experience for students who love the flute! We offer a one of a kind opportunity for students to work with world class faculty and perform with like-minded students who are dedicated and driven to be the best. Floot Fire hosts more than 400 young flutists each year in our intensive 3 and 5 day workshops across the country.

Interactive Institute STEAM Camp

    Who: learners entering 7th and 8th grades in 2018-19

    Camp Description: The Interactive Institute's hands-on approach to learning seeks to inspire students in STEAM fields of study by exposing them to a variety of exciting, real-world applications. Each day covers an engaging new subject and hands-on project with the curriculum designed and facilitated by our corporate partners.

  • Marvelous Opportunities Scheduled as Individual Courses
    Sponsored by CGA (Coppell Gifted Association)

    Dates: June 4-8 and July 23-27
    Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
    Location: CMS North
    Who: learners entering 4th-8th grades in 2018-19

    Camp Description: More than 20 courses will be offered this summer – some will be popular courses we’ve had in the past, and some will be exciting new courses.  Courses are for kids who want to explore the subject matter more deeply and are not limited to gifted students. MOSAIC™ is being taught by CISD teachers or other subject matter professionals and held at Coppell Middle School North.

    Camp Description: This camp is for singers who are interested in middle school and high school choir! If you like to sing, dance, learn music, make new friends, perform, create, and be a part of something amazing, this camp is most definitely for you!

YMCA Summer Day Camp

    Camp Description: In the YMCA summer day camps kids will explore a new adventure every week through crafts, field trips, games, swimming, reading time and more! Your child will create new memories, make new friends and have fun in a safe environment-based on the Y's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility

Photo and Film Camp

  • Dates: June 11-14
    Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (learners entering 4th-5th grades)
                1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (learners entering 6th-8th grades)
    Location: New Tech High @ Coppell
    Cost: $150

    Camp Description: Choose between digital photography or filmmaking, learn how to use industry standard equipment and Adobe software: Photoshop, Camera Raw, Bridge, flimakers use Adobe Premier Pro.

CMS Debate Workshop

  • Dates: June 11-15

    Who: learners entering 6th-8th grades in 2018-19

    Camp Description: Students will learn critical thinking skills, persuasion, and will improve their research and public speaking abilities. Stay ahead of your peers and be ready for tournament participation, public presentations, and competitive success!
