    Welcome to Coppell Middle School North and my web-site!  This is my 8th year as counselor at Middle School North.  I have worked with a variety of age groups and enjoy working with the adolescent population at Coppell Middle School North.

    Bachelor’s Degree - Education (University of Texas at Austin)

    Master’s Degree - Counseling (University of North Texas)

    Licensed Professional Counselor

    Coppell ISD Employment:

    • Taught 3rd grade at Wilson Elementary
    • 8th year as counselor at Coppell Middle School North

    Responsibilities:

    • Counselor for students last name A-K
    • Working with students individually and in groups on a variety of topics
    • Working with parents and students transitioning into and out of middle school
    • Registration – new students and classes for all grades 6-8
    • Guidance – including anti bullying program; college and career exploration for 8th graders, character education

    Personal:
    I have lived in Coppell for many years, growing up here, and have really enjoyed seeing the community grow and change over the years. I was a graduate of Coppell High School and love having the opportunity to work for the district in which I was raised.

    This is my 11th year at CMS North. I have worked with both middle school and high school aged students in the past, and now really enjoying working with the students here at North.

    • In Arkansas I taught Social Studies at middle school for 5 years, was a high school counselor and worked with disadvantaged youth on summer jobs program
    • At North I worked 2 years with Special Education and 9 years as a counselor

    Personal:

    I have lived in Coppell for over 25 years. I have raised my family here, including 3 children who attended Coppell schools. It has been wonderful seeing how the district has grown and changed over the years but still maintained the excellence it was always known for.
