CHS Student Places 9th in Essay Contest
CHS Junior Blake Seitz individually entered the 4th annual Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Essay Contest, presented by the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth. This contest provides students with the opportunity to voice their opinions about international issues.
Over 100 essays were submitted in this year's contest and, judged by a panel of international experts based on thesis, essay development, use of grammar and vocabulary, creativity, content and citations.The top ten finalists were invited to an awards luncheon at Maggiano's Restaurant on December 8th, where the final winners were announced. The top ten finalists received prize money, and the top winner received $1,000 and his/her essay will be published in the Dallas Morning News opinions section.To read Blake's essay, click the link in the box in the upper right-hand corner of this page.
