CISD Offers Board Candidate Workshops
Coppell Independent School District Board of Trustee elections are coming up in May and any CISD resident can learn more about the rewards and demands of service as a school board member by attending the following school board candidate workshop:

Interested community members and individuals thinking about running for the school board will gain a better understanding of what is involved in being elected and serving as a trustee during the workshop. Experienced school board members and Coppell ISD administrators will explain the board member’s key responsibilities, outline the qualifications necessary for effective service, and answer any questions. Topics to be covered include what it’s like to be a trustee, division of authority with staff, how to campaign constructively, and where to find more information. Participants will receive a packet of information concerning Coppell ISD and the functions of the Coppell ISD School Board.
For added convenience, the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) will host three online webinars offering board candidate information on February 26, March 6, and March 24. Individuals interested in attending the webinars can register on the TASB website at:
