• Grants for Education Up for Public Review

The Coppell Independent School District's proposed grant, for approval by the Coppell Education Development Corporation (CEDC), will be available for review by the public beginning Monday, September 10th in the Vonita White Administration Building located at 200 South Denton Tap Road/Coppell. CEDC grants are one of the many ways in which the City of Coppell has worked over the years to support education. Through the passage of two local sales tax elections, one half penny of every local sales tax dollar raised has been designated for the purpose of funding these education grants. By law, under the Better Jobs Bill/Senate Bill 607, qualified funding purposes include technology, foreign language, and/or workforce and career development. This year's grant submissions may be viewed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday until the next regular monthly meeting of the CISD Board of Trustees set for Monday, September 24th at 7:30 p.m.
