• Public Service Academy to Host EXPO

    The CHS Public Service Academy will host the first annual Health and Education EXPO on Saturday, January 29th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Coppell High School.

    The event will feature an array of activities and exhibits, including: science fair projects, Discovery Education Adventures, face painting, Apache and Chinook Helicopters, the Dallas Zoo, and Coppell Fire Department. Free health screenings and assessments will also be available for Cholesterol, Glucose*, Body Fat Analysis, Bone Density, Sleep Apnea, Lung Function and Blood Pressure. A blood lipid test is also available for a small fee. (*For the most accurate reading, do not eat or drink anything after midnight before the screening. You may take regular medications as directed with water.)

    Carter Blood Mobile will also be at the EXPO. Individuals who donate blood will automatically be entered to win two Super Bowl tickets, including hotel.

    The event, sponsored by Baylor Medical Center at Irving and Discovery Education, is free. And, the Public Service Academy is requesting that guests bring one canned food item per person, which will be donated to the CHS food pantry. The CHS food pantry benefits students and faculty/staff members and their families during times of need.
