Rhonda Carr Named Director of Assessment
Rhonda Carr, Coppell Middle School West Assistant Principal, accepted a new role as CISD's Director of Assessment K-12. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Deaf Education. She went on to earn a Master's Degree in Secondary Education with a minor in Reading from the University of North Texas followed by her principal certificate from Texas Women's University.
Rhonda spent 12 years as a special education teacher in Klein ISD, Northside ISD, and Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. In 1996, she took on her first administrative role in C-FBISD and served as a a middle school assistant principal from 2000-2005, when she came to Coppell ISD, where she has served as an assistant principal at CMS West since that time.
Rhonda says, “I love being an educator because of the relationships I have developed with students, teachers, parents, and my colleagues. I am a life-long learner who loves instilling the love of learning in others and finding that “key to success” for all students. In my new role as Director of Assessment in CISD, I look forward to working with teachers and administrators in how to use quality data to systematically improve teaching and learning for all students.”
