• Board to Ask Voters for 13 Pennies

During a Special Board Meeting held earlier this week, the Coppell ISD Board of Trustees agreed to ask voters for a tax rate increase of 13 cents to be voted on in an upcoming tax rate election. The Board will be moving forward with preparations including public information hearings. Informational staff meetings have already begun and the election  will be called during the Regular Monthly Board Meeting on June 21st. The actual election date will be on September 11.

Should the new tax rate pass, the cost to a tax payer on a home valued at $250,000 (the average cost of a home in Coppell) would be $25 per month or $306 per year. For senior citizens over 65, the tax rate increase will have no impact. For more information click here to view a PowerPoint presentation.
