Education Foundation Awards Grants
On November 18, the Education Foundation boarded a yellow school bus and headed to seven campuses, with balloons and big checks, to deliver Grant Awards. This fall, the foundation awarded eight grants totaling $18,405 to benefit CISD teachers and students. The grants are spread among seven campuses: Austin, Cottonwood Creek, Mockingbird, and Valley Ranch Elementaries; CMS East and West; and New Tech High @ Coppell.
These grants will provide for a variety of programs in various subject areas, including: History, Reading, Physical Education, Music, Science, and Film. To view summaries of each grant, click the PDF in the resource box.
The Coppell ISD Education Foundation is a 501©(3) nonprofit corporation chartered in June 2000 to provide financial support to the District in addition to what is provided by the Coppell ISD operating budget. And this year, as before, the Education Foundation is living out their mission statement of giving back to CISD to fund innovative teaching programs to help the District fulfill its mission of excellence in education. And the Education Foundation has now given over $670,000 in grants to CISD campuses since its start in 2000.
