Durham School Services is the district's transportation provider. The CISD Transportation Department is dedicated to safely transport the student of this community. The district makes school bus transportation available to all students living two or more miles from their assigned school. This service is provided at no cost to students.  For the safety of the operator of the vehicle and all passengers, students must board buses only at authorized stops.

The district has identified various areas where hazardous traffic conditions for students who live within two miles of the campus. Because students in these areas might encounter hazardous traffic conditions when walking to and from school, the district will provide transportation to these students.

For the start of the 2022-2023 school year, all CISD students, Dual Language learners and Pre-Kindergarten students who have (1) completed enrollment; (2) requested transportation services; and (3) qualify for transportation services will be provided bus stop and stop time information via email no later than the following schedule:

Request Completed and Submitted - 

• By July 22, 2022 - Routing information available on August 12, 2022
• Between July 22 - 29, 2022 - Routing information available on August 22, 2022
• Between July 29 - August 5, 2022 - Routing information available on August 29, 2022
• Between August 5 - 31, 2022 - Routing information available on September 6, 2022
• After September 1, 2022 - Routing information available in normal 3 business day turnaround

Please note, the above timeline also applies to student address changes.  

For Special Education transportation students, bus stop and pick-up times will be communicated directly to parents by Durham School Services. In addition. Durham Transportation will not be distributing bus passes prior to the first day of school on Wednesday, Aug. 17.  Bus passes will be distributed via the schools by Tuesday, Sept. 6. Therefore, families do not need to pick up a bus pass for their children to ride the bus when school starts on Aug. 17. Bus passes will be required starting on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
