Campus Tour Policies

    It is the policy of New Tech High @ Coppell that all campus tours that consist of professional, public, and/or elected officials be facilitated through the main office at NTH@Coppell. This policy establishes guidelines and procedures for the control of visitors and tour groups at NTH@Coppell. These guidelines and procedures will ensure the learner safety, privacy and confidentiality under HIPAA compliance. This will also maximize the tour experience as well as minimize the disruption of the learning process for learners and facilitators.


    1. When any person or group including visitors or employees request a campus tour of NTH@Coppell, such person or group should make the request through the official school web site. After the request has been submitted, the main office at NTH will contact the requester to confirm the specifics of the tour.
    2. The tour group must be escorted by the Director and/or her designee.
    3. All tours must be scheduled in advance through the campus web site link. Tours may not be scheduled by phone or email.
    4. General tours are available every first and third Tuesday and Thursday of the month. Tuesday tours are conducted from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. while Thursday tours are conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tours are not available on holidays or weekends. The Director reserves the right to change or modify this schedule at her discretion.
    5. General tours will consist of an introduction to the NTH fundamentals, learner guided tour, and Directors Q & A unless special arrangements are made and approved through the Director of Secondary Education. 
    6. To arrange a tour, complete the registration form and fax it to New Tech Tours at 214-496-5906
    7. Tours are designed for groups of 15 or fewer, unless special arrangements are made and approved through the Director of Secondary Education.
    8. School districts may send a maximum of 2 visitors per tour.
    9. Tours are scheduled on a first come first served bases. Tours are not officially scheduled until confirmation is received.
    10. Tours must be scheduled a week in advance.
    11. At all times during the tour, visitors must wear the assigned badge or visitor badge labeled Tour. Upon completion of the tour, the Director or designee assigned responsibility for the tour group shall return the tour badge(s) to the Main Office.
    12. The Tour badge is void without the Director or designated escort.
    13. Photography and filming during the tours are prohibited without prior consent from the Director.
    14. The educational success of NTH learners comes first and it is not guaranteed that the scheduled tour of a certain area of interest will be available during the tour.
