Your Bond Dollars at Work
Summer may be tropical but the CISD Maintenance and Custodial Departments are beating the heat to tackle some of the more labor-intensive bond projects so that Coppell ISD's grounds and buildings remain in top shape and running efficiently when students return in the fall. New energy management control systems and HVAC system replacements, auditorium seating renovations, roof work, and new carpeting and painting, comprise some of the big ticket items on the list. Field bleachers, a new scoreboard, and lighting at CMS-North will provide some much-needed relief of CHS stadium use by the middle schools on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Also included is new playground equipment for Lakeside and ceramic tile replacement in the Main Hall and Commons areas at CHS. Pigeons residing beneath the bleachers on the home side of Cowboy Stadium/Buddy Echols Field will need to find another place to roost this fall. Special pigeon control netting has been installed so game-goers will be able to see and hear a difference by kickoff for the first home game on Friday, August 28th.
