CISD Day at the Ballpark
Over 1000 parents, staff and community members attended this year's "CISD Day at the Ballpark" in Arlington. Over 325 students were honored on the field where they got to see the Rangers and Seattle Mariners warm-up. These students were selected as campus representatives for having demonstrated good character and citizenship qualities throughout the school year. The Ranger's mascot, Captain, congratulated the 14 campus Teachers of the Year during an on-field presentation. CMS East Principal Laura Springer and Varsity Girls Soccer Coach Chris Stricker threw ceremonial first pitches to Ranger's Special Assignment Coach Johnny Narron. Soloist, Chelsea Owen, a senior at Coppell High School, sang the National Anthem and Dr. Jeff Turner, Superintendent, along with the 5-A Girls Soccer State Champions appeared on the Live Fox 4 Sports segment during the game. The evening ended with an exciting 7-1 Ranger's victory over the Mariners.
