Secondary Art
The Coppell HS and CHS9 Art program recently competed in the TAEA State VASE competition.

CHS9 State VASE medalists are as follows: Richard Chen, Melora Dominic, Harshini Godavathi, Claire Liu, Nrithya Mahesh, Sahiti Peechara. Coppell HS State VASE medalists are as follows: Ashley Zhang (2 state medals + 1 Gold Seal), Jeffrey Wang, Tanvi Rudrangi, Krisha Shah.

Secondary Band
In finishing out UIL on the instrumental side, the Coppell HS, CHS9, and Coppell Middle School Bands recently  performed at the UIL Region 31 Concert and Sightreading Evaluation. Results for the thirteen performing ensembles are as follows:

The Coppell HS Band celebrated the achievement of their students at a wonderful Band Banquet held on Saturday, May 7 at the Irving Convention Center. The students were rewarded for their record-setting year with a great meal, fellowship, and a dance after the presentation.

The Coppell HS Bands will be presenting a series of Spring Concerts on Friday, April 13 and Saturday, May 14 at 7:00pm each night in the CHS Auditorium. Additionally, students from CHS, CHS9, and NT@C will be performing in the annual North Texas Premiere Solo Contest held at Coppell HS on Saturday, May 14. At this contest, students will perform their solo for a judge to receive a rating as well as compete for Outstanding Soloist Awards. Band students from Allen ISD and Carroll ISD will also be joining our students for the event.

Secondary Choir
The Coppell HS Choir led their students in a tremendous Spring Concert followed by an energetic Respira show. Thanks to all who came out to support these students.

Secondary Theatre
TheatreThe CHS Theatre program is honored and humbled to have received several nominations for our production of THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL from The Schmidt and Jones High School Musical Awards by Lyric Stage. The awards ceremony takes place on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Coppell HS’s Theatre Program earned nominations as follows:

The Coppell HS Theatre program is hosting their annual Awards Banquet at Las Colinas Country Club on Thursday, May 12 at 6:30pm.

The Lariettes recently hosted an incredible Spring Show, showcasing the amazing talent of our dance department.

The Coppell HS Guard saw a record number of performers audition for the ensemble in 2022-2023. 94 students came out to audition for the group, making next year’s color guard the largest in CHS history. Congratulations to Mr. Rummel on building a nationally-renown program for our student-performers.
