February Farm Fresh Friday Poster--Texas Oranges
February's Farm Fresh feature is the Texas Orange! Texas oranges may look a little different than the oranges you are used to seeing in the grocery store. They are a bit lighter in color, have thinner skin and may have brown streaks. The company our oranges are from, Edinburg’s Best, call these “tropical beauty marks” because breezes from the Gulf cause the brown marks. So before you get scared off by their appearance, rest assured that you’re eating one delicious fruit while also supporting Texas Agriculture!
