CISD PK-12 Activity/Website Suggestions, Device Need Forms and Meal Distribution Update

March 16, 2020

Dear Coppell ISD Families,

We know many of you might need some support as you think of fun activities to do with your children while they are at home this week.  We have captured several ideas for activities and websites that our students from all levels might enjoy.  This information is available at in both English and Spanish (Spanish is  below the English.) As you know, we are not currently delivering formal instruction this week, however we are sharing  ideas and educational resources that might be beneficial for your family during this time.

As a reminder, we are working on arrangements to allow our students to pick up their devices from school, including our middle or high school students who may have left their devices at school.  More information on this distribution process will be shared in a follow-up email today.

To help CISD assess the need for iPad checkout for our elementary students, as well as the device needs for our secondary students, we ask each family to review the forms below and fill out as needed for your child(ren) by noon on Tuesday, March 17.

We want to share that CISD will offer free meals to all students ages 18 and younger from Tuesday, March 17 through Friday, March 20 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at four sites (Austin Elementary, Town Center Elementary, Valley Ranch Elementary and Wilson Elementary) across the district.

Students aged 18 and younger at any CISD campus can pick up a free meal at any of these four locations. Families can choose the location most convenient to them.

We ask that you remain in your car to pick up your meal, and the student must be present to receive a meal. Feel free to walk or ride your bike also to pick up meals at any of the four locations.

Thank you for your continued support of Coppell ISD during this situation.  Please know we are here to help and support our community, even while our schools are closed.
