Coppell ISD Closed for Students Through April 3

Dear Coppell ISD Families,

I want to share with you our updated news that Coppell ISD has decided to extend our school closure to students through Friday, April 3. Our employees are using this week in preparation to begin to offer virtual education, which will start on Monday, March 23.

Earlier today we sent you links to fill out to share your device needs, if necessary.  As a reminder, we need these filled out by noon, Tuesday, March 17.

Please continue to check your emails often for updates from the district.  Moving forward, we will only send text and phone alerts when major decisions, such as closures are made.  We understand that you may have questions as a result of this extended closure.  Please note that we are working on Frequently Asked Questions to help address these queries and should have these to share soon.

I know that some of what is happening may still seem a bit surreal. We continue to do what we can to support all our students, families and employees during this time of uncertainty.  It is during challenging times, that who we truly are as a district emerges.  We are a community who rallies behind a cause, and who are there for one another through the difficult times.  I cannot think of a better community or a stronger team to be associated with during a situation like this than Coppell ISD.  Our people have rolled up their sleeves and pitched into help whenever and wherever there has been a need.  I am continually grateful for your  support.

Thank you for your understanding, flexibility and grace as we work through this situation together as a Coppell ISD family.

Sincerely,

Dr. Brad Hunt
