Final Elementary iPad Pick Up Scheduled for Friday, March 20
Dear Coppell ISD Families,
For those elementary families who were not able to pick up their child(ren)’s CISD iPad March 18, the district will allow our elementary students’ parents or guardians to pick up learner iPads via a drive through process at our elementary schools on Friday, March 20 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. This will be your FINAL and last opportunity to pick up your elementary child(ren)’s iPad.
We highly recommend families pick up a district issued iPad for the online and virtual learning that will begin on Monday, March 23. This is to ensure ease of use for many of the online resources and activities your child may be participating in with our digital distance learning.
Parents or guardians must fill out the form at go.coppellisd.com/PK-5iPad in order to check out their child(ren)’s iPad. One form must be filled out per child. Parents or guardians must also bring a form of picture identification to pick up the iPad.
If you are a parent or family member that cannot make the pick up time due to work or other reasons, please fill out the name of the individual (adult family member or neighbor, etc.) in the parent column of the form with who will be able to pick up the device and have them bring their ID or other identification.
Elementary learners’ iPads and charging cords will be distributed at the cafeteria loop at all elementary schools, except for Pinkerton elementary, which will offer pick up at the front loop of the building.
Please stay in your car through this process, as our staff members will come to you to get your information and give you your child(ren)’s iPad.
We understand that many of our parents and guardians may need to bring their children with them in the car to pick up iPads. As much as our educators and staff would like to closely interact with our learners, please know we will be practicing social distancing throughout this distribution process.
Be on the lookout for instructions on how your child(ren) can access this iPad and the educational apps with it via an email from your child’s teacher or campus administration. As a reminder, Coppell ISD is not providing formal instruction this week (through March 20). Our virtual curriculum officially will begin on March 23.
For middle and high school learners, please reach out to your campus administration if you need to pick up your device from school.
Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this process.
