CISD Family Learning Summer Choice Boards
We know that many of our families may want to continue focusing on learning activities during this summer. Coppell ISD has provided the following choice boards in order to have some fun academic, social emotional, physical fitness and fine arts activities for the summer. All of our online resources such as iStation, Dreambox, Brainpop, our databases, etc. will also be available for your child to access all summer long.
We will be sending out another email with any updates later this month, as well as during the month of July. Our hope is that you are able to continue having some opportunities for learning along with family fun throughout the summer!
These are available on our CISD District Website for easy access: www.coppellisd.com/choiceboards.
We are excited to let you know that we have enabled a feature in Mosyle, CISD’s mobile device management provider, that allows you to manage your learner’s iPad via the Mosyle ScreenGuide App. Through the ScreenGuide app you can do things like:
- Configure screen time limits
- Remotely lock the iPad
- Lock the iPad into an app
- Hide certain apps on the iPad
To get started, simply follow the steps in the setup guide. To learn more about the ScreenGuide App, visit the Digital Learning Coaches’ ScreenGuide Parental Controls page in Bulb.
We hope that ScreenGuide gives you some additional peace of mind with your learner’s iPad at home. We appreciate all you do for our learners.
Learner End of Year
As we wrap up the 2019-20 school year, please see the link/attached PDF for learner procedures of saving and backing up digital content. Some processes will not be necessary for certain grade levels because they do not have access to those tools. Look for your grade level in each title to know which procedures are applicable to you and your learner.
Please note that these processes are not required. They are suggested in order to ensure that the digital content created throughout the year and during distance learning is saved and backed up. If you are leaving the district or a graduating senior, there are directions for you to be able to transfer your digital portfolio to a personal address and save your content from Google drive and other digital resources. You have access to your account from home for the next couple of weeks to accomplish these tasks.
Istation Application Update
To further our mission of strengthening our community and helping students thrive during these uncertain times, we are releasing a new, optional update to the iStation application for all supported platforms on Friday, May 29. This update contains critical fixes to assignments and various improvements to other portions of the curriculum.
How do I update?
Parents who do not have automatic updates enabled for their device will need to navigate to the device's respective application store (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Chrome Web Store) to download the latest version. If you are unsure how to do this, visit www.istation.com/Home/SchoolClosures for more information.
If you have any questions or concerns about this update, please contact our iStation Support Team toll-free at 866-883-7323 Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. CDT or email us anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org
We will be sending out information during the summer with updates on next steps for devices for the 2020-21 school year. We appreciate each of you so much!
