CISD Board Approves Continuing Temporary Mask Requirement to Oct. 25

On. Sept. 28, the Coppell ISD Board of Trustees approved a continuation of a temporary mask requirement for its students, staff and visitors while indoors at district facilities or on district-provided transportation. This continuation of a temporary mask mandate will be in effect starting Tuesday, Sept. 28, until the close of business Monday, Oct. 25, or until there are further requirements as a result of ongoing state and federal litigation or other applicable legislative action. The Board also approved the continuation of a mask exemption for students for medical, religious, philosophical or administrative reasons.

Those who have already filled out a student mask exemption request do not need to fill out another form.  For those who have not filled out a form, a Mask Exemption Form for students is available at www.coppellisd.com/COVID-19protocols.

All CISD students, teachers, staff members and visitors, including parents and volunteers, will be required to wear masks indoors at all district facilities and on school buses.

CISD appreciates our community’s partnership with us as we work together to keep our students and staff healthy and safe.
