We will be celebrating all of the Elementary and Secondary Artists who were nominated for the Youth Art Month Competition in the LGI Room at Coppell MS West on Thursday, March 24 from 7:00-9:00pm. All YAM student artwork will be on display, and there will be light refreshments available.

Secondary Band
The Coppell Middle School Band students recently performed solos for an esteemed panel of judges at our CISD Middle School Band Solo Festival. Students from CMS-East, CMS-North, and CMS-West prepared a solo with a piano accompanist and performed them for our judges. Thanks to Rusty Gray and Katie Morris at CMS-East for hosting this 2-day event.

At both the middle school and high school levels, CISD has 13 bands preparing for the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest to be held in April.

The Coppell HS Bands will perform for UIL C&SR on April 13-14 at Ranchview HS in CFBISD.
The Coppell MS Bands will perform for UIL C&SR on April 21-22 at the Coppell HS Auditorium.
NOTE: exact schedules will be soon.

Secondary Choir
The Coppell HS Choir students recently performed at the UIL Region 31 Solo and Ensemble Contest (delayed due to the ice storm). Of the 89 performed, 27 earned a first division on a Class 1 solo (and are State Qualifiers), 21 on a Class 2 solo, and 28 on a Class 3 solo. Congratulations to these performers, Mrs. Coogle, Mr. Coronado, and their wonderful lesson teachers.

Much like the Band program, the Coppell HS Choirs are preparing for their upcoming UIL Concert and Sightreading evaluations. The Coppell HS Choirs will perform for UIL C&SR on April 11-12 at the new Carroll ISD Performing Arts Center.

An exact schedule will be available in March.

The Coppell MS Choirs performed on Wednesday, March 9 at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation at Grapevine HS. Of 6 middle school choirs from CISD who performed, all 6 earned the esteemed UIL Sweepstakes Award. After a challenging couple of years, we are elated at this great result.
