Stacey Chambers Chosen as National APH Scholar

ChambersStacey Chambers, a CISD teacher of students with visual impairments, has been selected as a 2022 Scholar by the American Printing House for the Blind (APH.)  Chambers is one of only three educators in the U.S. chosen by APH for this national distinction. 

“The American Printing House for the Blind is well known in the field as being the leading nonprofit organization for braille materials, accessibility solutions and educational materials that support people with visual impairments,” Chambers said. “Receiving the designation as an APH Scholar is truly an honor. I am thankful to Coppell ISD for supporting my ongoing professional development, not only for its direct impact on the students I serve here, but also for the influence that can be made on the national level.”

The American Printing House for the Blind (APH) is the world’s largest nonprofit organization creating accessible learning experiences through educational, workplace, and independent living products and services for people who are blind and visually impaired.
