New Safety & Security Procedures for CHS May 28 Graduation
The University of North Texas has implemented new safety and security procedures for all of the graduation ceremonies it is hosting at its Coliseum in May, including Coppell High School’s Graduation Tuesday, May 28, at 3 p.m. These changes for the May 28 CHS Commencement ceremony include:
Guests and families will be allowed to enter the Coliseum 1 hour prior to the ceremony, and not any earlier;
The Coliseum will no longer allow seat saving. Commencement seating for families is on a first-come, first-served basis;
There are no reserved seats, except for the graduates and special commencement guests invited by the school districts;
Prohibiting the following items in the Coliseum: balloons, beach balls, silly string, bubbles, glitter, frisbees, signs/banners, tripods/monopods/selfie sticks, artificial noisemakers (air horns, bullhorns, whistles, etc.), and confetti/confetti cannons, laser pointers and weapons of any kind;
Outside food and drinks will be prohibited, and limited concessions will be available for purchase for all ceremonies;
Thank you for your support as we work with UNT to make this year’s ceremony wonderful for all who are participating and attending.
